New update rolling out for Oppo F11 Pro with January 2020 patch

It is that time of the year where the Android forums are filled with news of the latest update coming out.  Android 10 is the hottest thing in the update news. Most of the flagships from different OEMs already got the update of the latest operating system from Android, while many others are still on the long wait. The Oppo F11 is one such device waiting for a long time and it seems like the wait is not over yet. The new update rolling out for this device just brings in the January 2020 patch and not the Android 10.

The Oppo f11 launched last year is the flagship from the Chinese OEM with a popup camera helping it stand out. Launched back in March 2019, the device got some impressive features which made it a competitive model. Apart from the main pop-up selfie camera, the device gets 6.53″ LTPS IPS LCD and the powerful Helio P70 chipset. The battery pack is huge and has a capacity of 4000 mAh battery. The device geta a 128 GB internal memory and a good 6 GB RAM.

While most of the premium devices launched in 2019 already started getting the Android 10 update. Oppo F11 Pro users were expecting for the same from the OEM. But the new update didn’t give what they are expecting. The OS after the update is still based on Android 9. The only addition is the latest security patch from Android. This came as disappointing news for all the users who were eagerly waiting for the latest Android operating system. But as per the sources, the device will get the Android 10 update after all. The testing is already under process but is in its early stage. However, the date of the rollout is not yet known and we will have to wait and see about that.
